Our Teachers

For thousands of years Yoga has been transmitted from teacher (master or guru) to student on a one-to-one basis.

Only recently has yoga been offered in a group format due to its spread to the West and subsequent adaptation to Western cultural habits and lifestyle. Vimoksha Yoga structures each yoga teacher training program to include two or more highly experienced instructors. Each instructor brings his or her own unique style and teaching method as well as personal practice to our program.

All the yoga trainers in our faculty:

  • Study foundational Yoga texts.
  • Regularly research and study modern Yoga methodology
  • Maintain a regular personal yoga practice outside of group settings.
  • Maintain a mentor-student relationship with a more experienced instructor/mentor.
  • Study foundational Yoga texts.
  • Embody and uphold the most ethical standards Yoga instructors should respect and embrace Patanjali’s Eight-limbs of Yoga but particularly the first two limbs, the Yamas and Niyamas.
  • Have training in basic anatomy as it relates to yoga practice.
  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • Have the ability to separate Yoga from religion.

Reejo – E-RYT 500 (Lead Trainer)

Reejo an E-RYT – 500 Yoga Instructor – Certified by Yoga Alliance USA is one of the Lead Trainers at Yoga Vimoksha, Goa and a Yoga & Wellness Consultant at Sanda Retreats.
Reejo started his career as a multimedia specialist but soon realised his true passion lies in yoga, thus began his yogic journey. A strong believer that; ‘Knowledge should come from different sources. If it came from the same source, it becomes stiff and stale’, Reejo has learned and amassed his yogic knowledge from different teachers and adapting to different styles over the years keeps his passion growing and alive in the field of Yoga.
Reejo is a 200Hrs Certified Instructor from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre Neyyar Dam, Kerala. He then went on to do his 300Hrs Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (Primary and Intermediate Series) certification from Ashtanga Yoga Mysore under the guidance of Sri.Ramesh Shetty who has 26 years of experience in teaching yoga. Diving deeper he learned the secret techniques of Kundalini Yoga (to awaken the kundalini) from yoga guru Rohit at Rishikesh and while he was there a keen seeker, Reejo also enhanced his meditation techniques with a focus on Osho Meditation.
Eager to share his knowledge Reejo makes understanding yoga philosophy (Patanjali Yog Sutra, Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga System, Bhagavad Gita) simple & easy by using modern day terms and real life examples. With the help of simple stories, students get to understand the complex ideas of philosophy in a very easy manner.
In every session Reejo aims to focus on the health benefits of yoga while gently guiding his students towards the spiritual aspects of the yoga practice: the importance of preserving the values and essence of classical hatha yoga practice without distortion from its purpose. He is specialized in other yoga styles like Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Flow & Yin Yoga.
Reejo strives to continuously develop himself and loves to pass on the little knowledge that he gains on his journey through yoga.

Yoga Shiromani Sharad Pandit(Guruu) – Lead Trainer
Yoga Shiromani Sharad Pandit(Guruu) is a professional Yoga instructor with a E-RYT-200 from Yoga Alliance UK & USA. He has been a student of yoga since 2004 and the practice of yoga has been a constant in his life.

He is dedicated to his yogic journey and to learning. He completed his YTTC 200 hours from – International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta – Kerala in 2004. In his childhood he was greatly influenced by Guru Dattatreya (Supreme Teacher of Yoga for all Yoga Paths in ancient Time) from Holy Mountain Girnar, where most of yoga Gurus / sages comes for energize their yoga Journey .

He is a certified computer engineer and worked in IT management before becoming a Yoga Instructor. His interest lies in following the spiritual path and knowing his real self, through spiritual mythologies and studies. He is attracted to yogic and karmic philosophies since childhood and this led him to the renowned spiritual location of Mount Girnar where he got deeply involved in practicing yoga , meditation and yoga secrets. He has practiced and taught Yoga in Dubai, Sharjah, Iran and the major cities in India teaching Yoga and Meditation. He has conducted numerous workshops and classes over the years for corporates, prisoners and Non Government Organization.

He is a master in Hatha Yoga, Pranayama (Breathing Exercise), Guided Relaxation, Kundalini Yoga and Swar Yoga and has more than 10 years of sound experience as a Yoga Instructor. He is currently doing his research on “Benefits of yoga secrets and its implementation in daily life for Physical, Astral and Spiritual development”.

Yogi Sachendra Panwar (Sachin)

Yogi Sachendra hails from Rishikesh known as the ‘Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas‘ and ‘Yoga Capital of the World’. Feeling inspired by the positive vibes of the Himalayas he began his yoga practice. He continued to learn and has strengthened his practice under different Yoga Gurus from Rishikesh. Professionally he completed his P.G. Diploma in yogic science from Jairam Ashram Rishikesh.

Yogi Sachendra is a multi-style yoga teacher who has great approach towards his teachings. He has a strong base in Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow, Meditation, Yognidra and Ashtanga-Vinyasa flow.

His multi-style teaching methodology makes him unique. He has a dynamic personality with a calm and composed approach to his work. His view on yoga is ‘Yoga is the relationship that is built between the body, the mind and the breath. Yoga is creating space free from obstacles in your own body to live’. I am here to help others find this release so that they can be comfortable and completely move their bodies through life.

Arbind Kumar – Yoga Instructor

Arbind started his yoga practice at the age of 15, when he first participated in school level yoga competitions. Having found his true passion in this science he continued to participate and excel at college level yoga competitions. On completing his B.P.Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education), he started learning and exploring different yoga techniques and the different types of yoga meditation like Transcendental meditation, Guided meditation, Chakra meditation, Yoga Nidra and others.

Arbind successfully completed his P.G. Diploma in Yoga Therapy from the Government College of Yoga Education & Health, Chandigarh. He has specialized in Cultural Yoga style, Hatha Yoga ‘a system of physical exercises and breathing control used in yoga’. Current Hatha Yoga types are Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar and Power Yoga.

He is very humble, enjoys sharing his knowledge in his yoga classes with students and continues learning to keep abreast with the latest in the field of yoga. Presently he is a Yoga and Wellness Consultant at Sanda Retreats where he conducts sessions and assists in the Yoga Vimoksha training programs.

Yogi Neeraj Kumar – Yoga Instructor
Yogiraj Neeraj Kumar completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Yogic Science from Shree Jay Ram Ashram Rishikesh. He has been practicing yoga and meditation for more than 15 years. His interest lies in following the spiritual path and knowing his real self, through spiritual mythologies and studies.

He has been attracted to these yogic and karmic philosophies since childhood and this led him to renowned spiritual locations like The Himalayas, Haridwar and Rishikesh where he deeply involved himself in practicing Yoga & Meditation. He has travelled across major places in India teaching Yoga and meditation. He is mastered in the art of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama (Breathing Exercise), Thai Yoga and Therapeutic yoga and has been a part of the Vimoksha Yoga team since its onset.

Neeraj is an RYT 200 Yoga Instructor – Certified by Yoga Alliance USA and is one of the trainers at Yoga Vimoksha. He conducts Yoga, Meditation Courses and retreats at Sanda Retreats (The Beach House).

Guest Faculty

Ms. Jennifer Hunt

A RYT 200 certified yoga trainer, Jennifer lives in south London. She completed GCSE s and A-levels at school, and then went on to get her BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia. She qualified in 2009, and has since been working in London. She specializes in Physiotherapy for neurological conditions and has post-grad qualifications in Bobath and Pilates. Jennifer Hunt conducts guest classes at Yoga Vimoksha when she lives in Goa, India.

Anna Dolganova

Anna Dolganova is an international Yoga teacher from Moscow who teaches Yoga at Yoga Vimoksha. Anna has a Diploma in Yoga Teacher Training from Jawaharlal Nehru Institute in Moscow in 2010 and has been an avid practioner of Yoga since 2007. Anna has worked with The Ashtanga Yoga Studio in Veda, Moscow as a Yoga Teacher from 2010 to 2014.
